RONY GANGULY ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT HEARING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS (AIHHP)

Rony Ganguly has been elected chairman of the association of independent hearing healthcare professionals (AIHHP).

 

AIHHP is a professional organisation, representing independent audiologists and private practice owners across the UK. Rony has been involved with AIHHP as a council member since 2014, as vice-chair in 2019 and stepped up to the role of chairman in March 2020.

 

The aim of AIHHP is to promote clinical excellence within the UK independent hearing care sector. Understandably AIHHP activities have changed quite a bit this year because of the pandemic, with the Annual Hearing Expo and educational meetings all moving online, which were received with great success.

 

Since taking over as Chair, Rony has been involved in developing a new professional Certificate of Clinical Competence scheme for AIHHP members, as well as working with the other UK Audiology professional bodies (BAA, BSA and BSHAA) to develop the joint COVID guidance for UK Audiology professionals. He has also been involved in discussions with all of the organizations and stakeholders within the UK Audiology sector in the potential development of a new ‘College of Audiology’.
